The university campus is in Preston, a large and thriving city in the county of Lancashire, north-west England. Excellent transport links by road, rail, air and sea make the city an ideal location for national and international travel.
Preston is surrounded by beautiful countryside, which is only a short journey by car, bus or bicycle. The city is also close to the north-west’s two major cities - Liverpool, home of The Beatles, and Manchester, where the mighty Manchester United are based. The university campus is:

Air
Preston is within an hour’s drive of two major airports (Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon), between them serving over 200 international destinations.
Manchester Airport, just 45 minutes drive from Preston, is home to around 90 airlines and 300 tour operators and by 2015, passenger numbers are expected to rise to 41 million. The fast growing Liverpool John Lennon Airport is home to five airlines, serving 36 domestic and European destinations.

Preston Railway Station is in an excellent location in the city centre, just ten minutes from the university campus, and is on the main London to Scotland line.

Road
Preston has direct access to all of the northwest's major motorways – providing speedy links to Manchester, Liverpool and Blackburn. Preston itself also has an excellent road network, allowing easy access to all parts of the city.

The rapidly expanding Port of Liverpool is just 45 minutes away and Lancashire's own smaller, highly efficient ports of Fleetwood and Heysham have regular passenger services to Ireland and the Isle of Man.
